QRFup TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The QRFup App and service works by sending emergency (SOS) alerts to our Quick Reaction Force Response Team (QRFup) via text, phone call, in-app notification and email. By using our services, you consent to these Terms and Conditions, and QRFup acting as your emergency support network.
By providing your phone number you agree to receive text messages and phone calls from the QRFup Response Team or our automated platform. Messages will be information to help you log into your account, updates of your SOS status and response information. These messages are known as transactional messages and will be sent because you initiated them. We will not send you marketing messages and we will never sell or lease your personal details.
When you send an SOS the QRFup Response Team will call the number you provided, to provide you with the emergency support you need. These emergency services are not provided by My SOS Family; therefore, My SOS Family cannot be held responsible or liable in any way for the services provided by the QRFup Response Team.
You can delete your account & all data we hold at any time. By replying "STOP" we will block your number from receiving alerts from us.
By downloading the App, you:
•Understand this emergency alert service is on an “as is” and “as available” basis

•Agree to use the service knowing there could be risks out of our control
•Acknowledge that we and our partners or volunteers are not responsible or in any way liable for any impact of the service not working
Here is why
The service sends help alerts by text, phone call, email and in-app notifications to the QRFup Response Team, which will rely on many different 3rd party systems all being available and working. Your device and SIM card must be working properly and connected to a mobile service with a strong enough reception for sending data. In the case of Wi-Fi, your equipment and internet service provider must be working properly. If everything is working, when we receive your SOS alert we will send a text, email and phone call to the QRFup Response Team.
Alerts may be routed using different telecom providers which can cause a delay. We will only send alerts to people who have been trained and agree to be part of the QRFup Response Team in your area. This is termed as "opt-in" or "opted-in".

If someone from the QRFup Response Team in your area asks us to "STOP" sending them alerts, we will comply. Sometimes sending a “STOP” reply causes their network provider to automatically block text, email and phone call alerts. In these instances, we will be unaware that alerts aren't being delivered.
That all sounds complicated but every day we make and receive calls and texts without a problem, and occasionally we all experience gremlins with our devices and services. Therefore, there can be delays or outages. If this is the case and you are in a life-threatening situation, please call 911 from your phone or within the App. To call 911 from within the App make sure you slide the 911 toggle to the right to enable it.
In summary, it’s impossible to guarantee the service and we cannot ensure the service will be 100% secure, uninterrupted, timely or error-free or content will be delivered. Therefore, you agree to using the service knowing that there are risks, and that My SOS Family®, QRFup and any partners or agents are not responsible or in any way liable to you or anyone for any impact of the service not working.
We have a team that continually monitors our services and maintains our systems, and we have failover systems and processes. We will always aim for perfection, but we cannot guarantee it, and we want to be upfront about this and not hide it away in the legal small print. Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple have had outages as well as emergency services and local utility providers of electricity, gas or water. We all aim for perfection but there are times when issues arise that are out of our control.
